An Angel

I wrote this Poem I put in my Journal to my Husband. He is grieving so bad for his Dad.

The Poem says

"An Angel came today and took your Dad Away

He will always be in your heart
so don't cry my love,

But if you do
I will be there to wipe the tears from you"

The Artwork needs some contrasting colors but I was so spent today emotionally that I was exhausted and just finished it and took the picture.

It's the process not the finished product.. and I felt a bit better later on for getting this out of me.

I added  this Journal spread to a Challenge Blog called Art - Journal Journey .. It's so uncanny that their challenge was

about Angels and how I just happened to find this blog surfing around.

I do believe in Angels. That they watch over us and try to guide us and keep us out of Harms way.

I hope that my husband's Angel is with him now. Helping him through this grief and guilt he is feeling..
It is breaking my heart seeing him like this. I feel so unable to help him. I guess all I can do is be there.

Head on over to this Challenge Blog to view some beautiful Angels.

Rest in Peace Dad

My Father in Law Passed Away last night.. My husband is besides himself with grief. My heart is breaking for him. We have had a very rocky road this year with our marriage but when I saw him hysterically crying last night I knew how much I love this man. Is our marriage worth hanging onto anymore? I don't know. I'm a very confused person. I guess as they say "More will be revealed" My husband feels very guilty about his Dad's death. His Dad was an Alcoholic and John was the last to buy him a few bottles. This they say is what started his Body to start breaking down and his kidneys to fail. But his Family is not blaming him at all. He is blaming himself.. His Dad called on Christmas Morning asking him to come over.. He made up some excuse why he couldn't. Thinking he wanted more booze. Now he is wracked with guilt that he didn't go. It made me realize how precious our time is with each other. You just never know.  John's Dad was an old man in his 80's. It was his time. But it's never anyone's time when you are the child. I don't care how old you are. This whole thing has got me down real bad. Yes I morn for the man but more then that it brings right into my face my own Dad's passing. My Dad wasn't so lucky to live to be an old man. He passed in his mid 60's. The age I am now. That man was the Light of my Life. When he went something in me went with him. and I live with guilt everyday that I didn't move back to Florida to live with my parents when my world crashed in front of me. I didn't want to burden them with my problems at the time. Now I realize they just wanted to love me until I could Love myself again.

Don't take anyone for granted. Ever. We just don't know when that last time is. Say "I Love You" as much as you can to your loved one's. Those are three words that never get old.

I created this Portrait last night to try to get my feelings out. I put the word "Believe" on her. I have just got to believe that things will get better. That a Good Change is in the Air. That the New Year will bring this change. I can't go on Not Believing anymore..God hasn't abandoned me. I have abandoned me..

I used Watercolor Crayons, Watercolor Pencils , Acrylics, Inks and Oil Pastels to create her.

She is for sale in my Etsy Shop

I'm joining "Artists In Blogland" this week..

She Only Flew

She Only Flew when no one was Looking is the title of my new Mixed Media Piece I just finished this morning in the wee hours..

I finger painted the background. That's my favorite tool - My fingers! LOL  I also finger painted the lollipop flowers... I used Designer Paper and some Old Book Pages on this piece.. My first layer was a Dress Pattern. I put some Glaze Medium into my paints to make them more transparent but I went a little crazy putting too much paint on.I had wanted that first layer to show.. I always do this and tell myself not to. LOL  I just love to get all messy with paint and never know when to stop! ROFL!!

I also used some rubons on this piece.. I use them a lot lately..Santa bought me some Bombay India Ink and boy do I love it!! It stays black and doesn't soak into the last layer of paint like some other inks do. How did I live without it! LOL

This piece is for sale in my Etsy Shop.. and yes Prints will be coming real soon.

I'm still getting used to my new camera.. This piece looks a lot better in person..

For some reason I'm getting good color but no variations hardly at all of the color.. Like with the Sun I used two shades of yellow but the camera didn't pick it up.
I think I have some setting wrong..

I'm joining Paint Party Friday this week..

New Camera, New Journal

Well Santa was sure listening to me this year! Besides getting a new camera and a new journal I got just about every color of the Neo Color Crayons, some Acrylic Inks, Water soluble oil pastels, mixed media paper, and a lot more supplies!! Santa went to my Dick Blick Cart and paid for everything I had in their!! Wooohooo!! Way to go Santa!!

I'm trying to get used to my new camera. It's a Nikon Coolpix.. You know that one that flooded the TV with advertising with that cute guy taking pictures of everything and everyone! LOL  Sometimes it's blurry and other times on the same setting it's not.. but it sure takes less faded looking pictures then my old one! I guess you won't hear me whining about that in the New Year. LOL

I got actually three new Strathmore Journals.. Two little one's and one bigger one.. I worked in the larger one today.. I love the Strathmore Paper that's in their Journals.. It's the mixed media Vellum..  It takes so much water and wet mediums and doesn't hardly curl.

Here is my front page to the new journal

and this one is on a Mixed Media Board also by Strathmore.. Santa gave me some of these also.. 8x10's

Doesn't she look a little blurry in the face?

I don't know what settings to put on.. Does anyone have this camera and know how to work it real good?

Help pallleeese!!

I also got a Stamp Carving Kit.. I want to take the workshop by Julie Balzer that she offers on
Stamp Carving...

Just need to get some more supplies.... Oh twist my arm to buy supplies! LMAO!!

It's almost 2013!!

It's going to be a better year for everyone! It just has to be!!

Hey thanks for stopping by!

Merry Almost Christmas

I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. I hope your wishes come true... Thank you all for being a part of my life and I a part of yours. It's been a long road for me this year with me ending up in a wheelchair. I guess I will adapt.. But it's been a lot worse for people at Sandy Hook Elementary School. I just can't get it out of my mind. Some mother is going to wake up Christmas morning with toys she bought for her daughter or son not wrapped and in the closet. How sad it is for them.. Let's remember during this day of Joy for us to be grateful for all we receive. That some mother, father, aunt or uncle in CT is struggling so hard to just get through tomorrow.  This has been the worst year of their lives. Let us pray that next year is better that wounds start to heal..

I created this Journal Spread in honor of the Children and Adults who passed that horrible day.

The Words say

Part Broken Part Whole, You begin Again

and that is what so many of us will do next year..

We start over and try to capture some serenity in this crazy world we live in now.

Through Art I am able to get my thoughts and feelings out.

I am so grateful that I lost the use of my legs and not my arms.

As without being able to do my Artwork I'd be lost..

Take a minute out your crazy day tomorrow to be grateful for at least one thing in your life..

Just one!!

I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas

Thank you for being you ..

Hugs All

One of my New Years Resolutions

One of my New Years Resolutions is to vary my Artwork... Not do just Paintings and Art Journaling.. I look at all my suppies like my flowers and bling and want to use them all!! LOL  So I said to meself I'm going to do all sorts of Artwork this coming year.. I used to do a lot of scrapbooking and tag making plus cards also and that stopped when I started to paint and art journal.. I don't know why as I love to do it all...

so anywho I got a jump on the New Year and created this Tag..It's for a Swap I'm in in the Yahoo Group Altered Designs.. I decided to become active in that group again. With my legs so bad I haven't swapped with those Ladies in months and months. When I create tags and stuff like that it's a lot of getting up and down in my Studio.. I have to fetch the bling then this and that.. I never have anything planned. My Studio isn't that big but any type of walking around hurts like hell..  It seems though if I can push through it I can create and be okay.. Of coarse if I could get the Wheelchair up here it would really help but alas that sucker weighs like 150 pounds.. My hubby sure isn't going to carry it whenever I go upstairs. LOL  I sure wish we had one of those lifts. I heard their expensive to put in..

I'm joining Paint Party Friday this week.. Though this is not a painting I did  paint some.. LOL

Check out some wonderful work over their..

My Camera totally sucks!! I sure hope Santa got me a new one. I have moaned and groaned about it a lot! LOL   I edited my picture in Paint Shop Pro but gave it way too much contrast.. The  tag looks so much better in person.

I did some embossing, painting, used inks and this stuff called rub n buff.. Painted the flowers and just had a ball creating this.. It took awhile to do with all the little details. I forgot how much I love doing stuff like this.

Well it's Sunday.. Two more days until Christmas!!

I sure hope you are having a great Holiday Season..

Are you ready?

I am and can't wait to get into my presents!! LOL

Crazy Love

Crazy Love is the title of this Gal I just finished. Boy does that Name fit what I'm going through at home. I found this paper in my stash and just had to use it for her dress for sure!! There are so many layers on this gal. I always start out Collaging papers which I love the patterns on. I end up with so many layers I never see these beautiful patterns. LOL  I keep telling myself to stop and let the paper show threw but I keep going and going and before you know it the paper is all gone! ROFL! Maybe next time. This time what happened is I didn't like some layers and tried to hide them so before I knew it the paper was gone once again! Oh well!

I'm in this workshop called Inspired by Love by the wonderful artist Susana Traveres. She showed us how to use Oil Pastels when painting a face. My Oil Pastels are made by Faber Castell and I don't think they are the best quality. Susana recommends the one's made by Care d'Ache called Neo Pastels. I looked in Dick Blick and boy are they expensive. But of coarse I'm going to have to buy some now. LOL  maybe one or two. ROFL!

anywho here is the gal I created in this workshop.

I hardly ever do eyelashes and I can sure tell why. I just can't do them good and they come out looking like a clown. I start out okay but once again I don't know when to stop and I have to even off each side and before you know it there too long, too fat and just not what I want. oh well again! LOL

Hey!! Thanks for stopping..

Fall Fearless & Fly Challenge #6

The Fall Fearless and Fly Challenge #6 is as below

It's from the Blog "Artists in Blogland"

  • Headline Prompt: Divided by God: What does "God" mean to you? How do you access"God" or the divine or the sacred in your life?
  • Color Prompt: Metallics - gold, silver, copper, bronze, or all of them!
  • Quote Prompt: "This is my simple religion. There is no need for temples; no need for complicated philosophy. Our own brain, our own heart, is our temple; the philosophy is kindness." The Dalai Lama

I was inspired by the Quote Prompt.. For years I've said to myself I need not go to Temple to Pray. That God hears me wherever I am.. That Love is the Key in our own hearts and that we have to be kind on a daily basis.. I was floored when I read that quote by the Dalai Lama.. It so goes with my own thinking.

Though I admit I'm not always kind. I'm not always Kind to my husband when he screws up with this problem he has. I'm not always kind to myself especially when I fear making certain decisions so much. I beat myself up on a daily basis and I know that isn't Godly at all!! But I do try. One day at a time I try to live with my own decisions right or wrong and give to the people I love rather then belittle them. I'm pretty good at belittling someone especially if I love them. It was done by Mother and her Mother  and her mother and down and around we go. I try to break this chain all the time. When I do catch myself doing it.

So anyways when I was creating this piece I was thinking about the prompt and how if I didn't have a God in my heart always there I couldn't face my Tomorrows at all.. I'm scared for my tomorrows right now. So many problems with Health both Physically and Emotionally and of coarse there is always the money problems that loom over us.. I vowed when I was creating this piece that the New Year would bring me to Face my tomorrows. Not hide my head in the sand..

This was a great prompt for me.. When I do any type of Art it's become very Godly for me. It's my way of reaching the Sacred in my Life.. The Devine. I was telling a friend the other day that I thought God had abandoned me. She tried to reassure me that God hasn't left me. It's me that left me. I lost myself somewhere down the road as I got older... At the age of 61 I have felt lost and abandoned with so many problems I'm having. But when I really do look at everything and get off my Pity Pot I'm so much better off then others I know.. I just need to appreciate what I do have and not what I don't have.. I am losing the use of my legs and the pain is awful but I had so many years of dancing Professionally. That was my passion then. I have that experience to lean on. I took it to the limits with my abilities to dance! How many other people can say that they obtained a Dream..This to me was a gift from God.. When I used to hear that roar of applause for me I used to cry from being so grateful that I could give pleasure like that to people..The Applause was like a drug for me. I was so addicted to it. It meant that I made someone happy if just for the night or even the moment.. Okay so now I can't walk anymore but ohhh I do have the memory of doing much more then just walking! I need to be grateful for the experiences I have had in my life. It's not over by no means. It's just slowed down one hell of a lot!! Maybe that's God way of telling me to stop and smell the roses for a change.. I've become very fearful in my old age. I was just the opposite when I was younger. I jumped into everything and anything.. I was fearless!! so now why all the fear? I don't know it's like this switch got put on inside me and I need to click it off!! not so easy I say.. but as I do my artwork and as I look inside myself honestly a tiny layer of fear comes off of me.. Not fast enough for me but like the Challenge does say I need to Fall Fearless and Fly.. Okay so someone give me a push off this ledge! I'm Ready! LOL

Head on over to Artists in Blogland and see some fabulous artwork using these prompts..

Hey Thanks for stopping by. I didn't mean to get so heavy on everyone.. Just stuff that's going on lately within me.. It's a Heavy Prompt! LOL

The Cover of my finished Journal

Well it's about 6 months later since I bought my Strathmore Journal and I'm all done with it.. I got a mixture of all types and sizes of Whimsy Gals... In my Journals I try out new techniques and color combos, mediums's. Just about anything. Then if I like it I might take it to Canvas or Mixed Media Boards. I love love working in my Journals. I feel so free!! I'm still afraid of making mistakes but not as much as when I'm working on a piece I might sell. Tell me why is that when some of my mistakes have become techniques I use. LOL  I think we're all guilty of the "I'm afraid I'm going to screw this up" syndrome! LOL

so anywho I hadn't done the cover on this Journal yet and now I was all done with it.. I thunked to myself , I said "Hey Robyn you haven't done a She Art gal is awhile" so here she is.. I like the little page boy hair I gave her. My older sister Barbara used to wear her hair that way way back when! LOL  She's passed now but I will never forget how I wanted her hair style. but my hair was soooo curly I never could get it that way. She had my dad's hair and I my mother. Thin and real curly. booo on my hair! To this day it's still as curly.. LOL

so anywho again here is my cover..Don't ya just love that I gave her backwards ballet slippers. wooops! LOL

Every Rose has it Thorn

Every Rose has it's Thorn is the title of my Art Journal Spread. I couldn't remember if it was Thorn or Thorns.. anywho in between doing some painting as presents I wanted to do some Art Journaling.

This is what I came up with.

I used Modeling Paste on the dots applying it to the substrate with my fingers.
I also Finger Painted most of the spread. Not the Flowers though.

I love getting messy and dirty! LOL

I'm joining Paint Party Friday this week..

Sleigh bells Ring

We do not have any snow yet but I'm a wishin and hopen it snows for Christmas.. In fact it's been unusually warm here in Indy the last few days. boooo on the weatherman!! I know I'm cwazy but I do love the cold weather. I don't like my gas bill however!! LOL

I stopped for a bit on my Christmas Presents for my family to create this Arch for The Artists Nest Ning Group. It's a Group of Gals that do swaps each month..  This is a 4x6 Arch with the Theme Winter Wonderland.

I used Tim Holtz's new Christmas Sketch Stamp on this piece. I just love this set. I also made a Tag using this Stamp for the Christmas Tree. Oh yes we have it up already all trimmed. My hubby is a complete baby at Christmas time and all our lights are up and the Tree is done with some presents already around it. It's different for me this year as I couldn't help him decorate. The Wheelchair just couldn't get around it nor close enough for me to get in their. So I participated by watching and expediting. LOL   Last year being in a wheelchair was the farthest thing from my mind. It's funny what a year will bring.

I put Diamond Dust all around the Arch. I just have to use Glitter and Diamond Dust a lot during the
Holiday Season. Love my Bling! LOL

It really glitters but is hard to see in the picture..

I colored the Snowman with my Neo Color Crayons.

I hope your Holiday Season is full of Joy and your busy busy now making gifts and doing a lot of
Holiday Artwork.

Working Hard on Christmas Presents

I've been up in my studio the past couple of days working hard on some Christmas Presents for my Family. It seems I can get passed all the pain in my legs if I can just start on a project. Once I start the pain seems to settle down a little bit.. Until! Until after a few hours I stand up and wooo weee I have to get into bed right away. But it seems worth it right now as I haven't given my family many gifts over the years and this year My Sister, Niece and Nephew will get something from me.

So anywho here are the Paintings I have finished.. I have some friends I want to do some pieces for so I'm not finished.. I feel like I'm ahead of the rush so far. Just have to keep my fingers crossed that I can keep getting up the stairs to my studio.

I'm joining Part Party Friday this week. Head on over there and check out some Fabulous Artists!

My 2012 Christmas Card

I've decided to print out my Christmas Cards this year from one of my Paintings. I usually make all my cards but this year with all the pain I'm in and not being able to get to my studio for periods of time I figured it's the best way to go. I created this Whimsical Gal Skating and I think it would make a fabulous card. Tamara at Willowing had a Christmas Whimsy Workshop and I got into it creating this piece. So I got out my card making program and worked up a little card. I just have to get the paper to print them on and I'm all done! Let's hope I don't run out of ink! LOL

I'm joining "Create Every Day" though I haven't actually been doing that. It's just so hard to climb the steps to my studio. I push myself though not giving into being in the wheelchair all the time. It gets so hard some days not to just give up. Okay I'm whining! LOL

first day back

This is my first day back to my studio after being in bed for awhile with severe pain in my knees and legs. I am back in a wheelchair now but my studio is upstairs and I couldn't get up them. How frustrating it was to lie in bed each day. I watched so much television I thought it was coming out of my eyeballs! LOL  I had steroid shots in my knees and back within a two week period and finally started to feel a little better. Right now I have one hell of a headache from all the steroids but that is to be expected they said. They do want to check me out as I'm having a small vision problem with the headache. I'm sure it will go away.. it better!!

anywho not feeling up to par to do a canvas I worked in my Journal and created this spread. I used my Cricut to cut the key out and a lot of rubons. I'm really into rubons after taking a workshop from Christy Tomlinson. I'm hoping to take her Christmas workshop and get some presents done if I'm up to it.

Enjoy the Moment

A good friend that is back in my life reminded me of a time we had on one of our Road Trips. I had gotten out of the car to do something.oh yeah now I remember. There was a Tortoise crossing the road and we wanted to put it back on the side of the road so it wouldn't get hit by a car. coming back to the car a butterfly just about landed on my finger and I moved my finger around with it. It followed my finger. It looked Like I was dancing with the butterfly. To Terri and myself it was magic! The rest of that day was beautiful and we ended up in a Bed and Breakfast in Bisbee, Arizona. Tired and full of a fabulous day. When she reminded me of this day in an email the other day it just brought tears to my eyes. How many wonderful days we had... and how our lives had changed so much. Hers because of both her daughter and son passing  from horrible circumstances and me because of a motorcycle accident... But we sure did dance with the Butterflies that day!!

Scrapping Again

Last night a good friend of mine came over and she wanted to scrap her new grandbaby. I haven't scrapped in like forever. So busy doing mixed media pieces, Art Journaling and my gals. Well we pulled out this fantastic Fall paper from Bo Bunny and got to work over a bottle of wine. We had soooo much fun! She doesn't usually have time to do any artwork of any kind as she works a lot. But she was an art major in College. It sure shows. Everytime she does come over she creates something fabulous! Whether it's a card or now a scrapbook layout. She had not done a Layout in years and years and forgot how much fun it was.

We put on some classical music, drank some wine and ate these wonderful black forest with cream cheese topping cupcakes. What more could a gal want! LOL

I was doing okay with mine until my legs started to hurt real bad. Even though I'm back in the wheelchair my legs are giving me fits. but anyways this is what I came up with. I only have a few more layouts to do of my Nephews Wedding and I can ship it out to them for Christmas.

As an afterthought I added the painted circles and some rubons. Just have to do mixed media anymore! LOL

I'm joining Create Every Day.

Is it Christmas Yet?

I can't believe that Thanksgiving is only two weeks away! Where in the world did this year go to?

We are making plans for Christmas already!! Nothing big but my hubby and I turn into 2 year olds when it comes to Christmas. I've got my list going and so does he. It's brought about a truce between us talking about Christmas and what we are going to do this year.
I've got a huge wish list going at Dick Blick and Amazon. He wants some voice recognition program for when he is writing. We have a little bit saved so far but this year has gone so fast I know we don't have nearly enough for our lists. That's okay I just want some peace in this household.. wellllll and maybe the stuff from Dick Blick. LOL

I created this piece and called her Serenity Returns.. She is for sale in my Etsy shop..

I will be creating prints real soon. A few of you have asked about that.

I'm joining Paint Party Friday this week.

Big Haired Ladies

I have done another project for this workshop I'm taking with Junelle Jacobsen and Christy Tomlinson.. We were to do these Big Haired Ladies.. An exercise in letting go with your painting.. No fearing to just blob on the paint without control... I had a ball creating her and filling her hair in with all the circles, buttons, clocks and what ever else I could find in my stash. Since taking this workshop I have found so much stuff I had forgotton I even had. Usually I use the same old things, same ole stamps and same old embellishments. I don't look farther then my nose as they say. LOL  well after rummaging through all my drawers and shelves I have soooo much inspiration to use it all!! In my paintings and art journaling and even in my card making... I have soooo much!! Boy am I grateful for this studio full of stuff! I'm a hoarder. I can't get rid of a thing.. I think to myself "Well maybe someday"  I think someday has come for a lot of it. I plan to get off my ARSE when doing a piece and see what I can find that I haven't used in years. or bought, put away and forgot about. LOL

I painted, stamped, stapled, stitched and painted some more in this piece.
I can not tell you how much fun it was to just let go and not have a plan other then
create a Big Haired Girl. LOL

I'm joining Create Every Day as I have taken the challenge to do something in my studio
every day for the whole month of November..

Hey you all!! Thanks for stopping by.

Middle of the night Madness

I've been creating in the middle of the night. I haven't really had any sleep for about a week now. I grab an hour here and there. Why? well my hubby is very ill and I have to tend to him, the nine fur babies need to be taken care of and I'm in horrible pain in my legs... I'm whining away today aren't I. LOL  I should be qualifying for a wheel chair soon and that will help the leg problem. Even though I have problems up the ying yang I still feel the need to create. As I had mentioned in a previous post it's my therapy. My connection to God and all things spiritual.

I am in this fabulous Workshop run by Junelle Jacobsen and Christy Tomlinson. I come upstairs to my studio about midnight and work until 7 or 8 in the morning .. Watching the videos and working on the projects. This particular project taught by Christy had me in tears this morning. She spoke about how she needed Courage for a particular problem she had gone through.. If there is anything I need right now is exactly that. The Courage to go on!! The courage to make a major decision in my life and the courage to keep my faith how little it is right now in all the adversity I'm going through.. I won't bore you with all the details but it isn't pretty.

so anywho here is the project that I finished about 7 this morning.

This Quote I found is so meaningful to me. That's how I feel like I'm holding on by the skin of my teeth.
Like that Cat hanging from the tree from his claws... I feel that I'm going to fall but each day I hold on for one more  minute, one more day.. Where I'm getting the Courage I don't know. I'm just afraid that soon if I don't get some relief I might let go.

I created this on an 8x10 mat board using Acrylics, Designer Paper, Stamps, Rub on and Alcohol Inks

I'm involved in the Challenge "Create Everyday" so this is today's entry. I did have one for yesterday but was way to tired to climb the stairs to my studio .. I will post it tomorrow.

I'm also joining Paint Party Friday this week..

Head on over to both blogs to see some fabulous work.

Hey!! Thanks for listening to me whine once again and stopping by.

Create Every Day Challenge

I'm going to try to do the "Create Every Day" Challenge... Over at Leah Kolidas's Blog... So every day this month rain or shine I'm going to create something.. Ya think? LOL  I have the intentions of doing this.. Let's see if I can complete it! LOL

For my first piece I did a project for the workshop I'm in run by Christy Tomlinson and Junelle Jacobsen. Both fabulous Mixed Media Artists I adore!

We had to do a piece about Home and Houses.. I created this piece on 16x20 mixed media poster board... I love working big!

I used for the background Dylusion Inks, stamps and the border is a Stencil and Modeling Paste.
I had a ball creating this piece!

Hey everyone, Thanks for stopping by.

Don't Leave Me

Don't Leave Me is the title of  my new Portrait I just finished. I'm sad and it's showing in my work. But I guess that's good as I'm getting my emotions out of me and not keeping it bottled up. A little bit of what's going on is my husband and I have come to a path in our marriage where it might not be anymore. It's not that we don't love each other it's sometimes love just isn't enough when their are Lies and Deceits going on. I won't bore everyone with the morbid details. It's just that you can not have a true marriage of two people when there is no trust. Sometimes you think you know someone like a book and you find out different. Then you go through a lot of self doubt yourself. I don't want to get to the point of hate and loathing. Of either him or myself. There is going to be a change for the better, a growth in the relationship that is positive or I have to  close the door. I feel like this man has left me, not physically but in his actions.

But anyways I have found that through my artwork I can let it out and when I put on my classical music, paint and not dwell on the problem the answers do come. Maybe not staring me right in the face but after awhile I find the peace within myself to clear the cobwebs and come to terms.. Does that happen to anyone else? Is your work your peace also? When you let yourself go into that art trance do you find that sometimes your prayers will be answered. I'm curious.

Well anywho this Gal I created has a lot of my emotions in her. The mediums I used to create her were Acrylics, Watercolor Crayons, Watercolor Pencils, Inks and a new medium I'm using called Clear Tar Gel. I'm in love with it.. You dip your palette knife into it and then dribble it all over. Soo much fun and it looks so cool!! Then if you want you can put a wash over it once it's dry to give it subtle tones of the color your using..In fact I put two washes over it and love the effect. It's hard to see in the picture.

I'm not sure if she is going to go up for Sale in my Etsy Store.
I might want to frame her and keep her to remind me of how I'm feeling right now. So that years from now I can remember the peace that comes in me when I paint.
Sometimes I'm so involved in trying to get everything so perfect I forget to let go and Let God.

I'm joining Paint Party Friday this week.
A little late as I saw there are tons of Artists
already at the Party...

Head on over there and get a load of some Fabulous Work.

Fear Less

Fear Less is the title of this Journal Spread I just created. After finishing it I realized what a mess it was... I was trying to Paint Fearlessly and I was all over the place. I didn't allow myself to use a brush. I used a palette knife. Then I used some stencils, inks , stamps and everything else I could get my hands on. I think this really should be called "From Soup to Nuts" LOL  I even used Washi Tape and I never use Washi Tape. I just piled it on! ROFL!!

I'm entering this hodge podge into Artist In Blogland's Challenge called Fall Fearless and Fly... My inspiration was of coarse the word Fearless.I have found the older I get the more I fear. I used to be fearless for sure. I'd jump into just about anything without thinking much about it. Now I over think everything!! and I mean everything!!
Ahhh Let's Toast to Old Age! LOL

I used these huge Foam Stamps to stamp the Fear Less.. They look like a childs writing if you ask me. LOL

By far not my best but maybe if I stare at it long enough I'll get to liken it.

Hey! Thanks for stopping by.
