My Second Shutter Card I Created

This is my second time creating a shutter card. I just adore them.. This time though I had my new Martha Stewart Scoring Tablet. I was going to buy the Score Pal . Was actually online to pay for it at the Rubber Stamp Show when this lady looked at what I was buying and just wouldn't let me buy it. She took my arm and walked me over to another booth and told me to buy the Martha Stewart one. Duh! It was only $19.00 where the Score Pal was about $38.00.. Did I do the right thing? I don't know. Most have the Score Pal.. If you guys could comment on this I surely would like to know which one is easier to use.. The Martha Stewart Scoring Tablet has 1/8 inch increments on it and that lady that steered me over to buy it said the Score Pal did not.. Well I don't know what I'm doing so it didn't matter to me but it was sooooo important to her I bought the darn thing!! ROFL  Please leave a comment and tell me if I did the right thing. Duh and duh again! LOL

Back to my shutter card. I used the Basic Grey June Bug Paper on it. I adore Basic Grey! Here the card is almost closed.

I think I'll send it to my Sister. She is my biggest fan. LOL

We are having a lot of challenges over at the new Ning Network I did it Creations!! We have a Card Swap going, an ATC Swap, Card Creations group and Scrapping Groups going on.. Jeanette created a Buy, Sell and Trade group. Can't wait to see what's up for sale! LOL I have our food money to spend. Shhhhhh.. so I like a lot of Macaroni and Cheese! LOL

Our Grand Opening party starts the 26th. of March and goes to the 28th. that Sunday.. We have a whole bunch of Contests, Challenges and Lessons Planned for the event. Head on over their and join us! We'd Love to have you.

Closing the Shop

With much regret I must close down the shop Robyn's Fetish. I'm quite despondent over the situation. I can't go into the reasons why but just wanted to let everyone know it is now closed.

I invite everyone of my readers to join me on my new Ning Network " I did it Creations" it is a Paper Crafting Community.. I want to thank from the bottom of my heart my Design Team Coordinator and good friend Meredith for all she has done and stuck by me through thick and thin. Our Fabulous Design Team and all my wonderful readers. The Challenge blog will be dormant for awhile but this blog will continue.

Life happens and I usually can roll with the punches. Who know there may be a time we reopen with new images and a new line of stamps and stickers and more!  But for now I am going to be concentrating on our new community.

Here is the card I created with this image. It was going along just fine until I stamped the salutation. I ruined it. So I stamped the darn salutation all over.. I ruined it some more! LOL  I wouldn't have even shown this card but I like the way the image sat right on the ribbon and I wanted to show off that.. booooo all my work down the drain because I can't stamp on paper...  ROFL

ATC's I created on the Retreat

I got some pictures for you all. These are some ATC cards I created on the Retreat last weekend. This first one I entered into a Contest at the Rubber Stamp Show in Indianapolis this weekend. Oh I forgot to say in my past post that in the middle of the retreat a few of us gals headed on over to the Fairgrounds for the Stamp show. I bought a few stamps and Martha Stewards Score Board. If anyone knows how to use it please let me know. LOL I wanted it so I bought it but I don't even know how to use one. duh and duh again!! ROFL

Back from a Scrap Retreat and the new gals on our Design Team!

Well I'm home from going away on a Fantastic Scrapbooking Retreat with my many friends from the Scrap Shop in Moorseville, Indiana called "A little bit Moore".. I plug them because I love Susie and Shirly the owners of the shop. They are like sisters to me. I found the store last year at Christmas time and have never left them since. They brought me into their realm like some little ole orphan starving for scrapbook affection!! LOL I scrap their usually on Friday nights for their crops and take classes now and then when I can get out that way..

I had a ball this weekend over at Camp Camby.. It's a 4 day retreat with 120 other crazy gals! I slept about 4 hours the whole weekend and by the time Sunday rolled around I was punch drunk and giddy. LOL Boy, I have to tell you I really needed to get away and have some fun like that. I feel so refreshed after hitting the shower and bed when I got home last night. I scrapped, created cards and ATC's, but the most important part was making new friends and hanging out with my old friends. I have to admit that my area of the room was the craziest area. We all just kicked back and had some big laughs, sometimes at my expense because I love to be the clown.

My new name is Huccama Mama! Now don't even ask me what that means but it was so funny to us at the time all we rolled on the floors just about and made big spectacles of ourselves.. I even won one of the door prizes but donated the prize to a fellow scrapper who now has cancer and is very ill. We held a raffle for her and raised a few hundred dollars for her family and we had a big box on the stage where we all donated supplies and paper to her to give her for a nice surprise!!

Well I'm home and totally rejuvenated!! Ready to rock and roll and introduce you all to our new Design Team Gals!! Meredith has hired some very very talented Ladies to compliment our Senior Design Team Members. I am so excited about them all!!

Well I'm so excited and refreshed that I'm anxious to start creating some cards myself. I intent to unpack today and clean my messy Studio and get into the grove. I can't say I did a lot of work because I was so busy socializing and laughing at myself and my table partner as we were the slowest scrappers at the retreat.. LOL
