Back from a Scrap Retreat and the new gals on our Design Team!

Well I'm home from going away on a Fantastic Scrapbooking Retreat with my many friends from the Scrap Shop in Moorseville, Indiana called "A little bit Moore".. I plug them because I love Susie and Shirly the owners of the shop. They are like sisters to me. I found the store last year at Christmas time and have never left them since. They brought me into their realm like some little ole orphan starving for scrapbook affection!! LOL I scrap their usually on Friday nights for their crops and take classes now and then when I can get out that way..

I had a ball this weekend over at Camp Camby.. It's a 4 day retreat with 120 other crazy gals! I slept about 4 hours the whole weekend and by the time Sunday rolled around I was punch drunk and giddy. LOL Boy, I have to tell you I really needed to get away and have some fun like that. I feel so refreshed after hitting the shower and bed when I got home last night. I scrapped, created cards and ATC's, but the most important part was making new friends and hanging out with my old friends. I have to admit that my area of the room was the craziest area. We all just kicked back and had some big laughs, sometimes at my expense because I love to be the clown.

My new name is Huccama Mama! Now don't even ask me what that means but it was so funny to us at the time all we rolled on the floors just about and made big spectacles of ourselves.. I even won one of the door prizes but donated the prize to a fellow scrapper who now has cancer and is very ill. We held a raffle for her and raised a few hundred dollars for her family and we had a big box on the stage where we all donated supplies and paper to her to give her for a nice surprise!!

Well I'm home and totally rejuvenated!! Ready to rock and roll and introduce you all to our new Design Team Gals!! Meredith has hired some very very talented Ladies to compliment our Senior Design Team Members. I am so excited about them all!!

With all that said you all have to check out the Challenge Blog right away and see the challenge for this Saturday! The girls rocked again with the challenge to create anything but a card. Every week our Design Team amazes me with their creativity! How they inspire me with their talent!

I learn so much from seeing their creations and checking out the techniques they use creating everything from cards, scrapbooks layouts and other creations. .. Well I'm so excited and refreshed that I'm anxious to start creating some cards myself. I intent to unpack today and clean my messy Studio and get into the grove. I will be taking pictures also this morning of the work I did at the retreat to show you all.. I can't say I did a lot of work because I was so busy socializing and laughing at myself and my table partner as we were the slowest scrappers at the retreat.. LOL
