I'm taking the challenge

(I didn't set this challenge up right in Blogger so please go to the top post to see each face I do or click on the label bottom right that says 29 faces)

I'm taking the Challenge and am going to try to do 29 Faces in 31 days.

Here are the facts about it.

29 faces May over at Ayala Art
Back by popular demand! We start on May 1st.
We have 31 days to make 29 faces.

Guidelines: PLEASE READ
* It's all about a face! Any medium, size, techniques and forms are welcome.
--It is OK to post an unfinished work too! Don't stress if you can't finish the  whole thing the same day.

* Your posts have to include the label/tag 29 Faces (make sure you type it in every post for this challenge!)

** Write an introductory post in your blog, tell people what it is etc AND use the tag/label. THEN click on that label, (it will take you to another blog page) then you copy the URL from your browser and paste it here in the Linky
Example: http://ilove2paint.blogspot.com/search/label/29faces

The link you post will take the readers to ALL your individual challenge's posts. This way we only post one link, and have all our 29 postings showing!. (^._.^)

Grab the button on the Right column for your blog. The more participants the merrier!

Sisters

I was thinking about my older sister Barbara the other day. She was my protector and a second mom to me. She passed away way too young and I miss her terribly. I did this piece in her honor.

I used Watercolor Crayons and Acrylics on this with a layer of Gaouche on the background.

Some Art Journaling

I've been doing some art journaling and loving it.. It really helps me get out of this depression I seem to be in.
If only for a little bit. I tell ya Art is good for the soul, that's for sure!

Here are two spreads I just completed.

so you ask how did I get all those circles in the first spread?

well

take an empty toilet paper roll and apply some paint to it.

Stamp as if it was a regular stamp

and Voila you have your pattern!!

LOL

My Latest

Here is my latest piece I just finished... I'm taking the Lifebook Course over at Willowing and this was the lesson for this month. Tam is a fabulous teacher but I'm a little disappointed in some of the other teachers. Is anyone else taking this course and feel the same way? I wonder.

anywho an update on my condition.. there is no update it's the same. .. I'm pretty much down in the dumps over the pain in my leg .. we will see what the surgeon says next week.

I'm entering this piece in

for the month of April

with the Theme being Journey

I think it fits the challenge for sure!!

It was done using Watercolor Crayons and Acrylics
