New Card

I took some time off finally and worked on this card yesterday.. I felt so uninspired until I was rummaging around in my stamps and found this one.. I really enjoyed working with it.

The Stamp is by a British Company named Kanban and OWSE is carrying their stamps.. We are one of the first in the United States to carry these. Check out their line of stamps here

Princess's and Copics

I'm still learning how to do hair using my Copic Markers. I got tired of using a dark brown so I tried to do a lighter shade this time.. Each time I do hair I don't know how many tries it's going to take.. Would you believe one time and I got it.. Well I think I did! LOL

This beautiful Digi is by Di's Digital Designs.. yes I buy digi's from other people.. Even though I have a big store full of my Digi's I still love other peoples designs. Speaking about my store it's the last few days of my sale to get 30% off on all my digi's and papers.

We have been so busy over at OWSE shipping orders and uploading new products.

I decided to maybe take the day off today and do some crafting..

I probably won't get to because my email box is full again, hey they say it's the thought that counts.. ROFL

Can you say Steampunk!

Steampunk is my newest fad!! I love creating using this Theme.. I'm in the process of doing a Steampunk swap for ATC cards and in the wee hours last night I created this tag.. It's for Jeanettes challenge over at Soartful.. Her theme is Hats.. When I saw this image from Graphic 45 and the hat she is wearing I just had to use it!!

I am quite pleased how this tag came out.. Did I ever say I love love creating Tags.. I feel so artsy doing them.. Getting paint and ink and glue all over me just makes me more creative!! I was in such a slump yesterday that I'm surprised I had any inspiration at all!!

Don't even talk to me about Copics.. I was told by the Copics company that our prices were too Low at OWSE and we were in violation of their terms.. Well how was I to know!! a nasty email told me that Notions our Distributor said so.. Well first off they didn't and second off I don't buy the Copics from them.. Why in the hell would I get ahold of the Copics Company trying to buy from them if I was doing something underhanded.. duh and duh again.. So I have one question ?? What is happening to our Free Enterprise System when companies can dictate what prices you are allowed to sell things at.. and then threaten you that you will never buy copics again if you don't change your price.. I'm sure they will read this. and another threat I got was they would be visiting my site often!! so who cares!! I'll tell you the Copics people are not the nicest people to deal with too bad their product is so good.. watch them stop me from buying copics now that I have posted this.. I wonder.. They will get a nice big Lawsuit about the freedom of Speech if they do!! I already spoke to my Attorney about posting about this on my own Personal Blog.. Go for it Mr. and Mrs Copics!!

and now to our regularly scheduled program!! Here is the tag I created using Jeanettes theme..

I embossed the tag and then glimmer misted it, then distressed with Distress Inks -" Walnut Stain"around the edges.. I took the flowers and used Twinkling waters to color them.. Love those Twinkling Waters.. I also Glimmer Misted on the Lace on top to give it different shades.. Added the gears which are by 7 Gypsies .. don't you love the little washers on the flowers.. tooo cute!! They are another one of Timmy's products.. Do I dare say we sell all these products at OWSE.. If I do I'm leading you to my shop and then you can see the Copic Prices have changed but ohhhh I have wrote something bad about the Copics company... Big careful Big Brother is Watching!!

up in the wee hours again

I'm sick again can you believe that!! My hubby and I just got over being sick.. I guess we are passing it back and forth. any who I was feeling a little better in the wee hours of the night so I created this LO for the Challenge over at Outlawz..

You had to tear paper, and use primarily Black, Creme and Brown. Have some altered chipboard and a flower you created.Also some Alphas. The chipboard is the crown I put gold gild on.. I used my Vagabond Machine to die cut the flower. wooohoo Love that machine!!

Is it Spring YET?

Is it Spring Yet? We had a few nice days and then it went cold again.. booo on the weatherman!!

Compendium of Curiosities Challenge #32

I've been in terrible pain in my feet and legs

and have a doctor that can't call you back but dare take more pills then he told..

Yet he told you to call if you had to or if you needed more for pain.. Yet he can't call back!

So what's a gal to do.. I doubled up on the pain medicine and the Heck with him!!

and it's still not touching the pain.. so what's a gal to do again!!

This has nothing at all to do with my Blog Post I just needed to whine!!

Doing the Techniques each week as a challenge.

This week is inking and masking

I trashed my first try at this the other night, well it's sitting on my desk looking all forlorn and distressed!!

and I gave it another shot now that I have so much pain medicine in me I could sit

up for a little bit..

anywho

Here is the Tag I created..

I used Distress Inks and did a background using the technique of spreading the ink

on my work mat, spritzing with water and dabbing the tag into the ink

Dried with my heat gun and did another layer.. This time barely touching the tag to the ink.

okay enough inky I then stamped my bird and put the mask over it

Did a little more to my background with Distress inks

Stamped the black backgroun with the mask on and then more stamps of the

vine like flowers..

All in all there are 5 different stamps on this..

I put Crystal Stickles on my flower to give it a little more pop..

I don't think it shows up in the picture.. I love love Crystal Stickles now..

oh yeah I sprayed with glimmer mist before I put the flower on

using the color Patina

and then sprayed with Perfect Pearls

Heirloom Gold.. I love love Heirloom Gold

LOL

Inked my edges with Walnut Stain and on the very very edge I used

Black Soot

The tag shimmers and shines but you probably can't see that plus my camera

take lousy pictures..

I would have put more bling on the bird but ran out.. Might buy some more and add to it.

I don't like how the flower just looks like it's plopped there. It needs something else

any ideas??

Ooh La Laa

That's the sentiment on my newest card!! I had so much fun creating this card as it was the first time I ever colored Black Hair.. Would you believe I got it right the first time but had to chuck the image anyways.. why because I didn't do what everyone says to do and color the face first.. I did the hair because I figured if I had to do it 10 times over I had only done hair.. well here I get it right , then go to do the face and get black all over the face because the ink wasn't dry.. boy did that teach me a thing or two or twelve!! LMAO Never again!! I will always do the face first!! Saying that again 400 times over.. Well to say the least I was surprised as hell when I did the Black Hair once again and it came out okay.. Do you think hair has finally clicked into me pea brain or was I lucky twice!! we will see.. LOL

I put in a lot of bows.. why I haven't a clue just bow crazy I guess.. On the flower I inked the petal edges with Distress Ink and added "Crystal" Stickles. These Stickles are now my Love of the week!! I love love how they add that extra touch!!
