When I first started this painting on Stretched Canvas I had thoughts of using my Neo Color Crayons. I had used them before on Stretched Canvas. You just have to work a little harder to blend as they lift off the canvas very easily.. well when I started painting not only did they lift off but they gave me such a hard time I was going to can the whole thing. I got Blotches I couldn't get out.. So I grabbed for the acrylics. I always have a terrible time with them. I guess when your taught at first with one medium then go to another it's always a transition.. I had just taken a workshop with Mika over at Motley Soul where she used all acrylics. I had a hard time with that project but I went for it anyways determined to get over this fright of shading with Acrylic Paint.. After thinking I was going to throw it out for the third time I finally got comfortable with the medium and had a ball!! Don't know if it's going to be my thing from now on but I'm reasonably satisfied. LOL.. Since I'm never happy with any of my paintings reasonably satisfied is a good thing. ROFL!
I'm joining Paint Party Friday this week..
Head on over there to see some fabulous work.

Lovely blending on the face, I love acrylics more than anything. I love how everyone is different, makes all our art very interesting as I travel around. Love the eyes on your girl. :)
