Dah Hubby's first Card

My Hubby has been stamping with me and having fun!! He did his first card and it took him nearly a week!! Why? because it's a 3D card and he cut out all the pieces.There are a lot of Layers to the Tiger.. It's hard to see in this picture.. I love how the Tiger pops out at you. It's staring at me on my Desk now and I think it's going to pop right out of the Card and get me!! LOL

I think for his first try he did fabulous!!

Grungy Monday

Over at Studio L3 it's Grungy Monday.. Studio L3 celebrate Tim Holtz's style each monday by bringing us a challenge.. This week we did one of his 12 tags of christmas for 2008.. I didn't have some of the products used. I know hard to believe huh! LOL so I punted!!

This is what I came up with:

Instead of embossing in Black which I didn't have I used this green I did have an have never used.

I also didn't have a charm that suited this tag and was too lazy to break out a die.

Nor did I think a flower went with this guy.

I know me not putting a flower on one of my tags.. tsk tsk!

It's been one of those days and I was glad to get it done.

Layout and ATC Card

I did a Layout yesterday , well in the Wee hours Friday night.. It took me all night to create it.

I embossed the edges, and with my new tool I crumpled the paper.. Created the gears and Hinge on my Cricut.. I distressed the gears and hinge by using Timmy's technique of embossing the grunge paper then inking over it.. I just love Tim's book Compendium of Curiosities. I use it all the time with background techniques. and of coarse we have it for sale at OWSE

and here is this ATC Card I just finished

The Theme is Music

I stamped the music notes stamp

then with distress embossing ink I inked my Scroll work stamp

then poured embossing powder on it

and embossed

then inked the edges with Vintage Photo and Black Soot

voila! one ATC card

ohhh yeah I put multi medium matt finish all over it..

and now Voila one ATC Card. LOL

Tried out Tim Holtz new stains

I tied out Timmy's new stains and wow I like them.. I did this Fairy for Jeanette's Challenge at Soartful.. I don't really like the fairy with the background but hey I went with it..Then I colored her booties and want with gold and hey now I don't like it at all.. LOL

but anywho here is that tag. Love the stains hate the tag. ROFL

Spring has finally sprung!

I think it's spring.. well I hope so.. We have had two days of beautiful weather here in the Indianapolis area. So I just had to make a spring card and paint some flowers spring colors..

I'm still learning how to use Copic Markers

I used Twinklings h20's to paint the flowers with.
