4th. of July card and a Birthday Card.. whew I'm tired!

I've been crafting all night long.. Here is my 4th. of July card for our Card's Group in the Forum.. The challenge was a 4th. of July card with all the bling.. But guess who forgot the glitter and glitz.. Well I didn't really forget, well I did and I didn't.. I made another card for my sister. Sent it right off.. forgot to take a picture and it's the one with the Glitz and Bling and Glitter and all that Jazz. This one I meant to glitter but forgot that too.. I swear I have halfheimerz it's not alz yet!!

This one is for a Birthday Club I'm in in a Yahoo group. You send a card and some little gift.. There are about 10 girls in it so when it's my turn wooo hooo I will be getting some goodies!! the image is a stamp I got at Michaels. It's was in the dollar bin!! Love that bin!! LOL

Okay Susan I've been practicing blending, the more I do the worse I get.. but I got sooo tired of doing circles. and more circles. She has her whip out again!! LOL

Lazy day

Finally got me a Lazy Day today.. My MIL came over this morning and we sat and chit chatted for awhile with my SIL and DH (duh hubby).. Then I went in to practice my coloring.. Susan has me coloring circles.. I got bored doing that and started on one of my Digi's.. This one is called Goodnight Teddy and can be purchased at the Shop I Did It Creations  It is one of my Special Editions Digital Stamps.. 

Creating this card was one screw up  after another.. First I ran out of my regular adhesive, so I used my glue stick.. Then I put the Card on my work mat with glue on the mat and the whole back of the card yup you know, got full of glue! Then I stamped my sentiment cut it with my nestie and then tried to emboss, well three sentiments later I gave up.. I usually can do my nesties easy peasy but today they just didn't want to cooperate.. I ended up just using a piece of my paper and backing it like I did.. boooo on me!! So my little practice card almost got heaved out the window!! grrrrrrrr.. LOL  It's still quiet in the house DH (DUH HUBBY) is gone to a friends and the menagerie is sleeping.. Hmmmm what can I get into now!!  Beware of sticky mats!! Better go clean it off and start fresh.. LOL

Finally using my Wishblade!

Well I've gone from a Love/Hate relationship to a fairly good working relationship with my Wishblade.. Not Love yet but it's amicable!! LOL  I won't throw it out my window yet!! LOL

I'm learning how to do Layers with it and it is really a lot of fun!! You can do this with a Cricut too and there are a lot of classes out there using the Cricut.. I have a Cricut, just the cartridges are so expensive for me. I have a few cartridges now. I like the wishblade because I don't have to buy cartridges at all.. I need to learn how to make these cutting files. You can buy them on the net and we are going to be selling them in the shop really soon!!

Here is my paper doll I layered. It's a little rough I need more practice.. There are suppose to be buttons and a star on his hat but I got too tired last night.. boooo on me!! LOL

Don't ya just love the evil face I made. I can't draw faces at all!! ROFL  But I think I have a new addiction!!
woooo is me!! LOL

Here is mine. My DH (Duh Hubby) has a gun collection and he loves to play the tough guy.. I caught him years ago thinking he was Clint Eastwood. Notice the long hair and the baby face. Well the long hair is gone and he's bald now and the baby face isn't there either!! ROFL

I just zipped up my newest paper pack for cardmakers. 8x8 inches... Called Summer Dreams. I'm dreaming of going to the beach.. I wanna go to the beach... do you think if I have a tantrum fit my hubby will take me.. LOL

Another Digital Layout

Well I guess I'm getting back into Digital Scrapping. I sure do enjoy it.. I stayed up all night playing with my wishblade and then I turned to the computer to do some scrapping.. I'm not even tired yet, watch me fall asleep at the computer. ROFL

I did this at a new forum I joined for one of their challenges.. Not really my style the long photos but you had to use their template.. boooo.. LOL

Conner Prairie is this kewl old town near Indy which has been preserved.. The workers dress as the townspeople and do the daily chores. Like weaving and silversmithing. They talk in the old dialect and engage you in conversation.. John and I had a blast their.. and no I didn't behave!! ROFL

New Release and a Digital Layout

I created some papers this morning.. Called Coney Island Summers.. I  used to go to Coney Island every summer and stay at my Aunts.. She had this bright orange Sofa and chair.. I don't usually do Orange but I had to.. ROFL

and here is my layout using the papers of my grand nephew.. aint he cute!! LOL  The Papers were made for Hybrid use. 8x8 inches..

How I met her and became a friend is a long story but it started at the Mall today!! Not only do I have her permission but I am going to be introduced to many illustrators living in Indiana and the surrounding area's ... These gals were illustrators in the 1940's, and 50's even earlier!!  I give me hearty thanks to Carolyn for opening my world up and giving me this opportunity!!

Okay here they are! They are more like rubber stamps then digital stamps.. I hope you like them.. I do!!

Well I went patriotic!! LOL  I wanted a new background for my blog. I don't know why but I did. LOL

Friday Challenge

Well it's TGIF day again and we have a great Challenge on our Challenge Blog..

Here is what I created with the Freebie image.. I have to tell you guys first we had lost power for 24 hours at the house and it was sooooo hot my Prisma's almost melted.. well they didn't but it felt like it!! LOL  on coloring the red pail and shovel I melted and just messed it all up.. boooo on me!! well here it is anywho!!

I'm really learning how to blend a lot better with the prismas and yes it has made a big difference with "Gamsol" rather than any old oderless mineral spirits and stubs from China rather than Taiwan.. There harder to file off the color when done as the paper unravels on the stub.. any hints I would appreciate it..

Fathers day Tag and Card

Fathers day is almost here so I made a Tag for DH ( duh Hubby) and a card for my father in law.. I haven't entered a challenge in quite a while but I did for this one.. Tag Tuesday challenge over at the challenge blog Kard Krazy. I followed Jeanette's blog to see what challenges she was into.  LOL I'm a copy cat! nananana

I paper pieced the shirt.. Look how it lined up with the background paper.. tooo kewl! I did it on purpose that way.. Yeah right! LOL

I cut a whole in the front and attached the card to the back of the front.. huh? LOL

Dat's my story and I'm sticking to it. LOL

I used Prismacolor Pencils with oderless mineral spirits to blend the pencils. I'm learning how to blend and use the pencils better using the mineral spirits. I have just recently bought myself some stubs from Taiwan which I heard are better to use then the ones from China and "Gamsol" which is a brand name for the Mineral Spirits. I haven't received them yet but I will let everyone know if it indeed is true that they are better to use. I tell you there is a big difference in price in the Gamsol compared to the cheapy mineral spirits I bought at Hobby Lobby... If the price reflects the quality then maybe everyone has been right. If not it's just that people have used the Gamsol so much the manufacturers are price gauging... ROFL  and I got took.. LOL

 

The flower I made myself.. Remember the flower I showed everyone on my Fathers Day card I wasn't sure if it was  masculine enough. Well I took your opinions  and took it off the card and added it on this one.. I had so much fun making this flower I definitely will be making more.
