On December 14th, 2012, tragedy struck as 20

 innocent children and 6 brave adults lost their lives in the second deadliest shooting in American history...

Even though we are in March now I think about this tragedy almost every day. This has impacted me very much. To Think of what is going on in our Society today.

There is sooo much

 Hate today

beyond Hate is Anger

and Beyond Anger is

Fear

So many people are just in Survival Mode today

Some get so frustrated and full of Anxiety

they strike out in an Evil Way...

Many people today are just out for their own selves

They only see what will make them

Happy, richer, more satiated with Things to give them pleasure..

More, more, more!!

We have forgotten how to give to others. The good feeling that brings can really

outweigh many of our frustrations at times..

 what can we do to correct this in our World Today?

I have always believed in what I call

 "The Thread of Love"

When we as Good Human Beings can extend our hand to others in time of want and need..

Not just on a certain day or Christmas or when we are told to

But Everyday!

It doesn't have to be a big huge thing that we must do

Just a small gesture can be enough to pass on

"The Thread of Love"

When one person does good for another and then this person does something good for another 

and so on and so forth

Passing it on

we are extending this 

Thread of Love

Love is so strong it can overcome every obstacle I believe

It can overcome Evil

Though at times it might be very trying 

If we all can do a good thing for one person every day

we send out Energy of Love

It might be a friend, a stranger, a neighbor, a sibling or a family member

It Doesn't matter

Just so the positive Energy is flowing.

That I believe is the only way we are going to turn our world around

Can you just imagine if so many of us in this world would practice this Daily!

What Good Positive Energy would flow throughout the Universe!!

About the Painting..

This piece was created on Canvas

I used many different Mediums

Acrylic Paint, Watercolor Paints, Designer Paper, Inks ,Distress Stickles and Liquid Pearls

It is finished with a Faux Beeswax and ready to hang or be framed.

I have signed and Dated the Piece.

I was inspired to paint this Piece wanting to depict my 

"Thread of Love"

by portraying a  Garden that grows when Watered and Nourished.

New Faces

I'm taking a workshop from Mika over at Motley Souls . It's called Painted Ladies ATC Book .. We are painting some Faces of Ladies and then creating a book to put them in. Mika is working ATC size. I had a problem working that small so she said to make it 5x7.. That I could do. LOL

Here are two of the Faces I have completed. I need to find the book I'm going to use and create some backgrounds.

This bottom one is suppose to be 5x7 but good ole me can't do measurements even

with a ruler!! I swear I made it 5x7 !! But when I cut it out from the paper I used it was not that size at

all!! ROFLMAO!!

This workshop will teach you both plus you'll have this project to do creating the book.

Been awhile

It's been awhile since I posted. My legs have changed for the worse. The doctor said about a year ago I might end up back in a wheelchair and I think the time has come. I can not stand for more then a half hour. This week I was at office depot getting some pieces scanned and ready to go into this shop in town for sale. I stood for over two hours. Went home in terrible pain. The next day my hubby and I were car shopping and the same thing happened. Since then I can hardly get out of bed. So I think the time has come that for going out I need to be in the chair. I feel somewhat defeated as years ago after my motorcycle accident I fought hard to get out of that chair! Life happens and sometimes we just have to give in to the worst and hope for the best.

anywho I did complete this painting last weekend but haven't been on the computer to post it.

I'm going to be opening up an Etsy Shop real soon where prints can be bought as well as the originals

of my work.

My Comfort Zone

I wanted to enter one of the Challenges over at Mystele's Little Glimpses Studio. Which by the way is now called Community Thrive.  Anywho I was really down on inspiration when I went over to her Ning Network. I found one of the challenges was to watch a video they provided and gather inspiration from that. Then create a piece on how it inspired you.. That was just what I needed to jump start me. As I watched this video I realized I hardly take chances in my Artwork. I don't go out of the box enough. Always afraid I'm going to ruin the piece...I stay in my Comfort Zone... So what huh? It's only a piece of paper they say! but all the time I put into it I say back. so what's time? Time is over rated anywho!! LOL

well to make a long story longer I went at this piece with screwing it up in mind. I made myself not care if I did. I prepared myself to work hard and then in the end rip it out of my journal and throw it out. It was okay with me.... That is how I tackled this challenge.. Well I didn't ruin it. I think this is one of my best pieces and I learned so much about taking a chance and going out of my comfort zone!! wow aren't I profound!! LMAO  am I going to be able to do it again?? I don't know but I sure had a ball just letting go!! Try it yourself. Create something and make it mean nothing  but some exercise.. go at it like it doesn't matter.. Go out of your comfort zone and try something that you have had in my mind but were afraid to try because you didn't want to screw up.. Knowing you were going to screw up no matter what.. Guess what! I bet you don't! LOL
