I call this portrait Summer... She is all dressed in her Summer Finest..   Maybe going out to watch some Polo.. LOL 

 I'm so behind in the 29 Faces Challenge.. oh well I got another one going maybe just maybe I'll finish it today..

Happy New Year!

I would like to wish everyone a very Happy New Year!  May all your wishes come true in 2013!  Boy I'm glad to be leaving 2012.. It was a very hard year for me.. I might have lost my husband, I lost the use of my legs just about and my Father in Law passed away... besides that we lost a court case that we should never have lost and on and on I could go! LOL  so tell me I wasn't the happy one to see the New Year in last night! I watched the Ball drop in Times Square from my bed.... You know I was born in New York and lived their until I was 17 and never made it to Times Square on New Years Eve. I would have loved to go for sure! I'm just an old New York Gal at heart! LOL

Well here is my first Art Journaling Spread for the New Year. I found these Words  on Pinterest and just had to do a spread using it. 

There kind of tiny in the picture but it says

I thought this was fitting for my first AJ Spread of the New Year..

One of my New Years Resolutions

One of my New Years Resolutions is to vary my Artwork... Not do just Paintings and Art Journaling.. I look at all my suppies like my flowers and bling and want to use them all!! LOL  So I said to meself I'm going to do all sorts of Artwork this coming year.. I used to do a lot of scrapbooking and tag making plus cards also and that stopped when I started to paint and art journal.. I don't know why as I love to do it all... 

so anywho I got a jump on the New Year and created this Tag..It's for a Swap I'm in in the Yahoo Group Altered Designs.. I decided to become active in that group again. With my legs so bad I haven't swapped with those Ladies in months and months.When I create tags and stuff like that it's a lot of getting up and down in my Studio.. I have to fetch the bling then this and that.. I never have anything planned. My Studio isn't that big but any type of walking around hurts like hell..  It seems though if I can push through it I can create and be okay.. Of coarse if I could get the Wheelchair up here it would really help but alas that sucker weighs like 150 pounds.. My hubby sure isn't going to carry it whenever I go upstairs. LOL  I sure wish we had one of those lifts. I heard their expensive to put in..

My Camera totally sucks!! I sure hope Santa got me a new one. I have moaned and groaned about it a lot! LOL   I edited my picture in Paint Shop Pro but gave it way too much contrast.. The  tag looks so much better in person.

I did some embossing, painting, used inks and this stuff called rub n buff.. Painted the flowers and just had a ball creating this.. It took awhile to do with all the little details. I forgot how much I love doing stuff like this.

Well it's Sunday.. Two more days until Christmas!!

I sure hope you are having a great Holiday Season..
