Saturday's Challenge on our Challenge Blog

We have a great challenge for you today, it's a sketch challenge. Not only a sketch challenge but a scrapbook sketch and not a card sketch. Check this out.

Use your instincts and if you want to flip it around, change the number of photos, size and/or shape of the photos or embellishments...go for it!! Just follow the general sketch rules.

If you use either Robyn's Fetish Stickers or Stamps you will then be entered twice to win 3 new images!!!

MY WWF Card, better late than never!

I'm a little late as I started on this card yesterday morning but better late than never. LOL


I wanted to do some word art on this image so I worked in Paint Shop Pro and with a little manipulation added "Don't Forget to Kiss a Frog Today". When I printed it out I made sure I had enough room to create my scalloped circle using my Cuddlebug. Instead of using a 4x6 piece of cardstock I used a 5x7 to print with.

It's a simple little card but with a lot of bling and I love love bling! LOL

for some reason my darn camera isn't taking good pictures or is it the owner of the camera? LOL

Sewing on my New Sewing Machine

Well I bought this sewing machine and didn't know how to use it at all!! Yes, I remember when I was about 12 and my mom trying to show me how to sew on a machine.. I was too busy playing with my friends and getting into all sorts of trouble to pay attention in those days. So I'm sewing challenged!! LOL.. Thanks to a DVD disc that came with the sewing machine after many hours I learned how to thread the bobbin and put it in the bobbin thingamagigica! Then I learned how to thread the regular toppy thing. I played on some fabric and then went to paper. Oh boy that is when the hate/love relationship started with my machine. I practiced and practiced and jammed the machine up good at times. Asked Meredith many questions and finally after a month I have a card that's kinda sorta maybe worthwhile showing. ROFL!! It has some stitching on it!! wooo hoo! maybe next time I will even try the zig zag stitch. welllll, maybe not as I'm all over the place with that still!! LOL

Here is the card that I finally finished up with my sewing. LOL Not very straight but hey I did it that way on purpose. NOT!! LOL I know I should have sewed over the distress piece of paper but then there would have been another end to hide, I haven't figured out yet how to turn corners right!!!


The card is entered in a Challenge for the Blog Digital Tuesday. The theme this week was "All things girly"..

I used Prisma Color Pencils to color the image with odorless mineral spirits to blend.

Thanks all for looking at my poor sewing job. rofl maybe in about 5 years I will be able to sew a straight line!! lol

wow it's Monday and it's snowing again here in Indianapolis! I usually love winter but I'm about over all the snow!! It better not snow this Friday as I have my crop to go to but the darn weatherman is saying that it will stop by tomorrow and then guess what? yup, snow again on Friday. booooooo.. what has this to do with our Marvelous Monday Freebie. Absolutely nothing. LOL

I just had to throw that in. ROFL

My First Layout I ever did

Lori is having a Blog Birthday Bash over at her blog "A Scrapmom's Musings" and she asks you to post a First you had. So my post is about my first Layout I ever did. I first became addicted to scrapbooking by going into a scrapbook store and drooling over the all the beautiful paper. I was totally addicted from the start. I went into the store with no supplies the next day and asked the sales gal how do I do this? and she put me to work. LOL

This is my very first Layout... My hubby has a gun collection and he likes to think he rough and tough! but he's just an old Teddy Bear. This is such an old picture. He had his long hair then, would you believe now he's bald and shaves his head. LOL He misses all that hair and always talks about how long it was when we first met. Well that's another first also... His long hair was way down his back the day we met in Florida when he first came to meet me.. I think I fell in love with all that hair.. Boy was I fooled now it's ten years later and he has none!! ROFL!!

Two Valentines Swaps I was in

Wow have I received some beautiful Valentines Cards from two different swaps I was in this month.

The first card was made by Andrea from the group I'm in at "Scrappers Delight" .

This card is beautiful.

This next card is from Rhonda from our Forum's Valentine Swap.

It is a popup card. I adore it. I am going to talk her into giving a lesson on how to make it at our big online crop we are going to be having at the Forum coming shortly!!

This is the new release that I created. It is from the Set "Baby Blocks"

I used the Digital Stamp of the Little Boy Sitting on the Blocks..


I used glitter for the words by taking a small thin paintbrush and brushing on the glue then pouring the glitter letter by letter and then pouring it off to put back in the bottle.

I used my border punch. I didn't have the color Royal Blue so I improvised. LOL On the white background I used my cuttlebug and embossed it. It's hard to see in the photo. The background on the image I used my chalks to give it some depth. The whole set can be purchased at our shop as well as all the new images you have been seeing on our hop!!

Created a New Siggy Tag this morning.

Another Hobby of mine is working in Paint Shop Pro and making what is known as Signature Tags.
I created a new one this morning Isn't it a cutie!!

Most of my tags are animated and until today you couldn't see the animation.. I finally learned how to post them right on blogger. LOL

A stamp on a stamp

I was playing around with my stamps and came up with the idea to stamp on top of another stamp.
The Pedestal and the Girl are two seperate stamps in this card. I first stamped the pedestal and then very carefully placed the girl on top. I had some space so I took a mechanical pencil and filled it in on the pedestal to make it look like the girl is standing on it. It came out to be a pretty big card once all the stamping was done.

Blog Candy at Arty Retreat

I was hopping tonight and found a great blog where she is offering some blog candy. Head on over to Arty Retreat and join in.

Been busy all weekend

I went to my crop on Friday and had a blast! We had a going away party for one of the gals who is moving out of town, so there were a lot more people than usual.. We were packed like sardines but noone really cared. By about 11pm we got silly and the laughter was heard down the block. LOL

Naturally I didn't get much done. I got a Layout done .. And a card but I cheated on the card it was already done just had to put it together. LOL

Here is what I did.. The smudge on the babys face is me, my hands got some glue on them and I couldn't get it off once I touched the picture. If anyone has any suggestions on how to remove this I would really appreciate it.
